To the MBRSG Graduating Class of 2026:

I set the bar high for you.

It would have been easier to set it low. But you are inheriting a world of profound change, and you will be among those called upon to make it better.

And you rose to the challenge.

I am immensely proud of you. It was not easy. You did it anyway.

I hope your education taught you more than new knowledge. I hope it helped you discover the superpower within yourselves to challenge what seems impossible and make the impossible possible.

And you did not do it alone. Today we met the parents, spouses, siblings and children who stood behind you. Alongside them were our program partners, staff, employers and so many people working quietly to help you reach this moment.

Thank you.

Education is a candle: it dispels the darkness of ignorance, brings warmth and hope on difficult days, and illuminates the path ahead.

It has been a privilege to teach you in the Master of Innovation Management and Master of Public Administration programs.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Keep the candle burning. Keep the bar high. And make the impossible possible.
