đŁ Our new paper is out - "Corporate Military Activities and Key Frontiers in International Business Research", with my co-authors (Tazeeb S. Rajwani Christopher Hartwell Tao Chen) - it has just been published in the Journal of World Business by Elsevier.Â
đ Thank you to the amazing editors Ajai Gaur and Daniel Andrews and our anonymous reviewers. As with most papers, it is a journey that began with a chance meeting in Academy of International Business (AIB) in hashtag#Poland in 2023, continued at hashtag#SouthKorea in 2024, and evolved into a paper across borders with some very amazing people with expert knowledge! But this is what collaborative research looks like! It is a timely paper considering the geopolitics and current cultural turns taking place!
Key takeawaysÂ
đïž We define corporate military activities (CMA)
đșïž Trace its historical origins
đ (PS. You would be surprised how many companies listed on the stock market are in this new (old) business and we also highlight the growing role of private military security companies)
đïž Present a framework for CMA - looking at modalities, targets and benefits
âŽïž Offer future academic research areas for international business scholars
